Our Introduction
An Old School Barber Shop Since 2015
Jaclyn Elson opened Cuts & Lather in 2015 because she wanted men to have a barbershop that felt welcoming, did great work and charged a fair price. That’s still how both shops run. Every cut gets a real consultation, clippers and shears, and a clean finish, and on most services that means hot lather and a straight razor around the ears and neck.
We cut every kind of hair: skin fades and tapers, curly tops, classic side parts, longer scissor cuts and military cuts. Dads bring their sons, sons bring their friends, and plenty of our regulars have been in the same chair for years.

Walk-In Barber Shop, or Book Ahead
Walk-In
No appointment needed. Stop by either shop while we’re open, and we’ll get you in the chair as soon as a barber is free. Weekday mornings are usually the quietest.
Book Online
Pick your shop, your barber, your service and a time in about a minute. It’s the best bet on Saturdays, since we’re only open 8am–noon and those mornings fill up fast.
A Family Barber Shop Kids Actually Like
A lot of kids in Williamsville and Clarence have had their very first haircut with us. Our barbers take their time with toddlers and nervous kids, explain what they’re doing, and keep the visit calm and light. If your child has autism or sensory sensitivities, give the shop a call before you come so we can plan a quieter visit.
Parents can grab the next chair, and siblings can be booked back to back so the whole family is done in one trip.

Where are your barber shops?
We have two: 5813 Main St, Suite 4 in Williamsville (in the Town of Amherst) and 5647 Harris Hill Road in Clarence, near East Amherst. Both are in the 14221 ZIP code.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes. Both shops welcome walk-ins whenever we’re open. You can also book online to pick your barber and skip the wait.
What are your hours?
Both shops are open Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to noon. We’re closed Sunday and Monday.
How much does a haircut cost?
Men’s haircuts start at $35, our signature haircut with a hot lather neck shave is $40, kids’ haircuts are $35, and veterans pay $33. See the full price list on our barber services page.
Can I choose my barber?
Yes. Choose your barber when you book online, or ask for them by name when you walk in.
